Finally we have made it to departure day. It seems crazy that after four years of planning and saving we have made it to D-Day.
After a fantastic evening last night we stayed with Scott and T and had lunch with them before they drove us to the airport (check out Facebook for their videos farewelling our bags and then us!).
Now we are seated in the departure lounge, anticipating boarding our plane in about half an hour and we STILL don’t feel like this is real. It’s such a weird surreal experience walking through this side of the gate, knowing that our wedding trip is finally soon to begin and that in approximately 14 hours we will be landing in San Fransisco but the reality hasn’t set in.
We want to send a huge shout out to the people who have donated to our Honeyfund (including in person) over the last week. We really appreciate every single dollar that you have gifted to us and we cannot wait to share with you what we will put the money towards!
And of course we want to send a super special thanks to Scott and T for taking care of us every step of the way in the lead up to this trip, for making us lots of dinners, for helping us with all the detailed planning, for hosting our Hens’ party, for looking after us on our last day in NZ for a while and for delivering us in one piece to catch our first flight. We love you both so much and are so grateful to have you in our lives xx
